Gary S. Betensky, a shareholder with the firm, focuses his civil trial practice on complex business disputes and dispute resolution. He is distinguished as a specialist and expert through his board certification by The Florida Bar in business litigation law, which recognizes special knowledge, skills and proficiency in business litigation law, professionalism and ethics.
Mr. Betensky is a seasoned lawyer with more than 30 years of experience in the trial, litigation, or resolution of a diverse array of complex matters that include allegations of fraud and interference with business relationships; violations of non-compete agreements and theft of trade secrets; company member disputes; officer and director liability; defamation claims; employment law; and real estate matters. He also represents clients in defense of Attorney General investigations and bar complaints. In addition, Mr. Betensky has successfully handled numerous significant personal injury, nursing home negligence and product liability claims for both plaintiffs and defendants, as well as a civil rights class action case that resulted in a multi-million-dollar settlement.
His professional involvement includes serving as a former chair of the Professional Ethics Committee of The Florida Bar and former chair of a Florida Bar Grievance Committee. He is a member of the Section of Litigation of the American Bar Association and its Business Torts and Unfair Competition Committee. Additionally, he was appointed to serve the Palm Beach Judicial Campaign Practices Commission, which monitors the campaign practices of judicial candidates.
Mr. Betensky, former president of the Palm Beach County Regional Office of the American Jewish Committee, currently serves on its Executive Committee and Board of Directors. He previously served as chairman of the Florida Regional Board and as a National Commissioner of the Anti-Defamation League. Mr. Betensky also serves on the Executive Committee of the Ambassadors Board of Nova Southeastern University and is a graduate of Leadership Broward County.

Gary S. Betensky received a bachelor’s degree in public communication from Boston University and a law degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center, where he served as a Notes and Comments Editor of The Law Review and as an officer of the Moot Court Board. While in law school, Mr. Betensky was awarded a Judicial-Clerk Scholarship by The Florida Bar that enabled him to clerk for a state trial court judge.
