Litigation Attorney Alan G. Greer, a shareholder with Richman Greer, P.A., a law firm offering a wide range of litigation and business-related legal services, has been selected for the second year as one of the 2011-2012 Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in the entire United States for his intellect, passion, judgment, dedication and extraordinary achievements.
The Lawdragon 500 is one of the most elite honors in law determined by a particularly elaborate national process that combines online voting and journalistic vetting by peers at the highest level of the U.S. legal profession. In the end, 500 outstanding lawyers were selected out of 25,000 nationwide.
Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Business Litigation, attorney Alan G. Greer concentrates his practice in the areas of civil commercial litigation, antitrust, mediation and arbitration, professional malpractice, construction litigation, class actions and civil appeals.
Having devoted his life to advancing professionalism within the law, Greer was named the 2008 Board Certified Attorney of the Year from the Florida Bar. He was also the recipient of one of the Daily Business Review’s Most Effective Lawyers Award in 2008.
He is a published author on the subject of professionalism and is very active with the American College of Trial Lawyers as a Fellow of that prestigious organization. He is a past member of the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Professionalism. A sought after public speaker, Greer serves as a faculty member and lecturer for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.
An active community leader, Greer is a past President of the Florida Supreme Court Historical Society, Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Directors of Friends of WLRN Public Radio and Television, Board Member of Probono.net and a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Society of Barristers and the American Bar Foundation. He is also one of 16 Trustees of the American College of Trial Lawyers Foundation.
Recognized equally by clients and colleagues, Greer received a #1 ranking in General Commercial Litigation by the prestigious Chambers and Partners and has been named one of The Best Lawyers in America 2012 edition, a Florida Super Lawyer for 2011, and one of Florida’s Legal Elite for the past seven years by Florida Trend magazine and is included in that publication’s Hall of Fame. Greer is an AV-rated attorney by industry standard Martindale Hubbell.
A resident of Coral Gables, Greer is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland. He served six years in the U.S. Navy before earning his Juris Doctor at the University of Florida College of Law.
