Grasford W. Smith elected to the Board of Directors of the Palm Beach County Legal Aid Society

West Palm Beach, FL – Litigation attorney Grasford W. Smith, an associate with Richman Greer, P.A., has been elected to serve a three year term starting January 1, 2011 on the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, which is committed to providing high quality civil legal advice, representation and education to the disadvantaged of Palm Beach County.

 

Smith’s practice concentrates on complex civil litigation.  A resident of Boca Raton, Smith is the President of the F. Malcolm Cunningham Sr. Bar Association, the former First-Vice President of the NYU Law Black Latino Asian Pacific American Law Alumni Association and was named one of three Rising Stars in Law in South Florida by ICABA Media, a South Florida-based company dedicated to connecting and activating accomplished black professionals and entrepreneurs.

 

Smith holds a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law where he was a Dean’s Scholar and received the University President’s Service Award for Leadership as well as the Vanderbilt Medal for outstanding contributions to the School of Law.  He also holds a Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, in Business from Florida State University and was inducted into the Seminole Torchbearers, an alumni organization for exceptional student leaders.  Smith is admitted to practice in Florida, New York and the District of Columbia.
