Miami, FL – Attorney Manuel A. Garcia-Linares, Managing Shareholder of the law firm of Richman Greer, P.A., has been elected Chairman and President of the Florida Association of Managing Partners, a support group for mid-sized law firms in Florida.
Garcia-Linares practices primarily in the areas of commercial and class action litigation as well as corporate and transactional matters. An active community leader, Garcia-Linares is the current president of the Cuban American Bar Association, serves as a Trustee of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, is a member of the City of Coral Gables Parknership Committee and Retirement Board and is a member of the Lawyers Section Board of the Belen Alumni Association. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a member and Past President of the Cuban American Certified Public Accountants Association, Inc.
Recognized by his peers and the legal community, Garcia-Linares has been included in the 2010 and 2011 edition of Best Lawyers in America in the category of Commercial Litigation, and listed as a Top Lawyer in the 2001-2010 South Florida Legal Guide, 2007-2010 Super Lawyers and the 2007-2009 Florida Legal Elite. In 2008, he received the Most Effective Lawyer award from the Daily Business Review in the “Class Action” category, in recognition of the significant victories he achieved for clients involving class action legal matters. A resident of Coral Gables, Garcia-Linares received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Tulane Law School and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Miami. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
